VANDAL RESISTANCE
Protection for Personnel and Property
Protect against senseless vandalism with General Electric's toughest, most reliable range of polycarbonate glazing products. Where bullet resistance is not a consideration, LEXAN MR10 sheet provides excellent forced-entry protection meeting UL-972 as a burglary resisting glazing material. LEXAN MR10 sheet is 250 times stronger than glass and 30 times stronger than acrylic. With a proprietary MARGARD surface on both sides, LEXAN MR10 sheet withstands the everyday abuses of cleaning, handling, and weathering. It also carries a 10-year limited warranty against breakage and abrasion. For outstanding forced entry protection in areas such as storefronts, windows and display cases, specify LEXAN MR10 sheet.

BULLET RESISTANCE
LEXGARD bullet-resisting laminates are patented composites of LEXAN polycarbonate sheets, or LEXAN sheets and other plastic material, laminated together with a proprietary laminating resin.
LEXGARD laminates have MARGARD surfaces and contain UV stabilizing additives to enhance service life. Depending on the application, specific LEXGARD laminates can be used alone or in component systems of laminated glass and LEXGARD laminates, manufactured by authorized GE Fabricators. Appropriately matched to a specific level of threat, these laminates and systems are capable of providing bullet resistance from .38 Super Automatic Hand Gun to 7.62 NATO High Power Rifle, and provide protection from spalling.

The Ultimate in Bullet-Resistant Glazing
LEXGARD laminates are more than bullet-resistant, they withstand multi-shot assault with no spalling. They are also abrasion resistant, lightweight, easy to fabricate, and generally thinner in profile than comparable materials. Plus they can be cut to size using standard carpentry tools.

BLAST RESISTANCE
Exceptional Performance for a Changing Environment
Today's security threats beyond physical and ballistics attacks. Detonated blasts are a new and violent risk for some establishments. Provided that the building structure and sash system design are consistent with the security requirements, the inherent impact strength of LEXGARD laminates may also provide protection against the over-pressures and fragments associated with explosions. While no official standards for blast resistance have been established, GE is at the forefront of providing the materials for the higher degree of protection needed today.
